Bench made UNWORN Tricker's slip on all-leather shoes with original box* dated 26-1-1978 (matching serial number with shoe) and original compliment slip.
Made in ENGLAND
The shoes are a rich toffee brown and have the original price sticker from the 70’s. *Please note the lid of the box is missing.
Leather Upper - Leather Lined - Leather Soles
Tricker's are the oldest established (since 1829) shoe manufacturers in Britain and are still owned by the founding family. All their shoes are made from start to finish in the Northampton factory following traditional techniques. For over 30 years they have held a Royal warrant for the then HRH Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, now King Charles III.
A bit of background….
These shoes were purchased as part of the Leopard Lady - Estate Sale. They belonged to the affluent husband of a very fashionable woman who lived to100 years. Her daughter informed me that up until the age of 70 her mother always wore heels, hats and a handbag She was recognized and admired in her local high street in the Midlands as well as by her appreciative husband who clearly had style too.
There are many women’s pieces in the Leopard Lady Estate Sale but only 3 pairs of men’s shoes all exquisite and all labelled UK 9.5
Note on Size
These shoes have been tried on by my husband who is a UK 9 to ascertain the modern day size accurately.
The size label is UK 9.5. They fit like a modern day UK 9 / 9.5. He describes the width as regular.
