SUPERB 1950s COTTON GOWN !
BRUSHSTROKE DARK FLORALS !
Black floral patterned original full length 1950s dressing gown / house coat in densely woven 50’s cotton with blue 100% cotton lining.
The coat is handmade and fastens across the waist with 4 double breasted buttons and a belt tie
Further details include the shawl collar and sleeves which can be turned up but work best turned down to reveal the blue.
PLEASE NOTE: Although an M / UK 12 the waist is small as was typical in that decade.
We advise that you check all the measurements below.
The garment is a heavy weight (952g) and is fully lined
Very Good Vintage Condition. Intense vibrant colour. Overall bright clean lining but with faint marks under the armpits as seen (no associated smell!). Please note the garment shows repair stitches to lining around the button holes and waistband.
There is also some minor fraying to seams on the belt and on the inside of the collar (see last photos).
Where video is shown (depending on the platform) I am shown modelling it. My build is an M / UK 12 / M, 5'4" with broad shoulders, short torso and long legs.
