A bit of history….
These shoes were purchased as part of the extensive wardrobe belonging to an astute woman of fashion (I call her Leopard Lady as she loved leopard print) who lived to 100 years. Her daughter informed me that up until the age of 70 she always wore heels, hats and a handbag and was recognized and admired in her local high street in the Midlands.
The collection purchased includes coats, blouses, dresses, bags, hats (Large fit) and shoes (size 40 / 41) which will all be listed for sale.
A series of related ‘fashion shoot’ style posts are appearing on the Marshmallowvintage Instagram.
SIZE
These shoes have been tried on to ascertain the modern day size accurately.
The vintage size label is US 9.5. When tried on they feel s like a modern day 40 / UK 7
Heel 6 cm
Insole Length: 27 cm
Widest part of sole: 8.2 cm
Good Vintage Condition with scuffs and marks as seen and superficial nics to leather on toes (see all photos).
Please note that the upper of the left foot appears stretched. In the video the shoes are a whole size too big for me. When worn on size 7 feet the stretching will be less noticeable.
